The place where you have awoken is the same as where you were before, but altered somehow. The grass under your feet and the trees around you appear different – twisted, dying, and covered with a foul, dark substance.

Ahead is a man in tattered armor waving you over. Investigate.

In the strangely altered place, a man in tattered armor has told you that it isn't safe out here and wants to lead you back to a place called Last Refuge.

After following the man in tattered armor to a place called Last Refuge, you see a group of people in distress. A robed man with an air of authority among them wishes to speak with you.

The robed man named Elder Burron told you that the city of Last Refuge is under attack by darkness known as the Void. He was shocked when he saw that you have the Shard; he insisted that it belongs to the Elders of Last Refuge and is the key to protecting the city. He pleaded for you to enter Last Refuge and speak with one of the Guard Captains.
