random drop (common)

Modifies the outcome of a craft when upgrading an affix.

Randomly changes the upgraded affix to a different one that can spawn on that item type. It cannot change a prefix into a suffix or vice versa.

For example if you use a fire resistance shard to a raise the tier of a fire resistance suffix the tier would increase as normal and then it would change into a different affix such as cold resistance or increased health.

Glyph of Despair
Requires: Level 10

Has a chance to seal an affix instead of upgrading it. The sealed affix is moved to its own slot, leaving its old slot open for you to add a new affix.

The sealed affix cannot be modified further and an item can have a maximum of one sealed affix.

Chance to seal is higher when crafting on affixes of lower tiers, and is also higher for exalted items and items with more affixes.

Press [F] to open the Crafting Panel.

Requires: Level 30

Prevents the roll of an affix within its range changing when it is upgraded.

Glyph of Insight
Requires: Level 30

Changes a prefix into an experimental affix.

Only works on gloves, boots, and belts, and does not work if the item already has an experimental affix.

The exact experimental affix it becomes and its tier are determined by the properties of the item.

Which properties determine the affix and what is required for higher tiers can be discerned through experimenting and carefully studying the numbers of the items you experiment on.

Press [F] to open the Crafting Panel.

Not random drop
Glyph of Envy
Requires: Level 100

Destabilises an item, unpredictably changing all properties other than the affix being upgraded. This stability is siphoned to the most recent Monolith Timeline you entered, greatly increasing its stability.

The forging potential of the item is not changed beyond the normal reduction, and the changes cannot result in affixes above tier 5. Existing sealed affixes cannot be changed. Grants far more stability if you have never completed the timeline before and it is not empowered.

Press [F] to open the Crafting Panel.
